The workshop hosted by HSI/India aims to discuss the future of the Target Animal Batch Safety Test (TABST) and the Laboratory Animal Batch Safety Test (LABST) in the Indian Pharmacopoeia monographs for veterinary vaccine manufacturing. 

The possibility for the waiver or deletion of TABST has been discussed by the Expert working group (Veterinary Products) hosted by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Committee during the 2020, but a final decision on those tests has not been taken. HSI/India would like to continue the discussion on the topic and provide some recommendations based on stakeholders’ perspective thought the proposed workshop.
